There are many ways to volunteer to help MTAA provide the best possible experience for the kids and their families. First, of course is running for the board to help govern the way the organization runs. The board is responsible for all aspects of the organization. The general membership, which is everyone that has a child playing in the organization, elects the board to govern MTAA. Currently there are several vacancies on the board. Next, we have a concession stand that needs volunteers in order to make it run smoothly. We do two different seasons for concessions. Spring season runs at the MTAA field and Fall/Football runs at both Jim Dietrich as well as the school practice field where MTAA plays their home games. The spring season is of course the longest because of the number of games played as well as the tournaments and playoffs that we have been privileged to host for the last several years. All of this gives us a profit to allow us to put money in the general operating budget.
Next, of course is Commissioning and/or coaching a sport or sports. We usually need coaches and assistant coaches for most every sport. To find out more you can contact our Commissioner Coordinator at Brad@crosskeysins.com .
Another way to volunteer is to join one of the many committees that also help make the organization run smoothly. There is a list of committees available here and you can contact the committee chair to become a part of the committee.
