CLEARANCES

We need to update the membership on a change in the state law. Effective with the Spring of this year (2015) the law has changed requiring us to institute background checks. These checks need to be the same ones the state requires of teachers etc. We, however, do not need to do the FBI/Fingerprint check as of now. We MUST however do the Child Abuse and Criminal Background Checks. If we do not do these clearances we are in violation of State Law and could be fined and or even made to close our doors. As a result we will need to make some tough decisions that if the background checks are not completed we will need to remove some coaches from their positions. This will be brought up effective with the meeting on December 14th. These background checks are free to volunteers and the links to the websites can be found on our website under the about us tab and forms within the clearance policy letter. THERE IS NO EXCUSE! But if you hear of the fact that your childs coach is being replaced know it is because they have not fulfilled their responsibility of furnishing these clearances to this organization. WE THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING THAT IT IS THE LAW!
